CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PLAYERS

 

  1. Prepare yourself mentally to learn from the training session rather than to focus only on having fun.
  2. Practice good time management as training is only part of your routine. The other part being your school work.
  3. Be conscientious in your school work as you will not be allowed to train if your class work is poor.
  4. Lead a healthy sporting lifestyle. Look after your diet, sleep well, have a good rest especially after a training session and abstain from smoking and consuming alcohol.
  5. Be willing to sacrifice fanciful lifestyle if you want to be an accomplished player.
  6. Accept success and failure, victory and defeat equally.
  7. Resist any temptation to take banned substances or use banned techniques.
  8. Treat opponents with due respect at all times, irrespective of the result of the game.
  9. Safeguard the physical fitness of opponents, avoid violence and rough play and help injured opponents.
  10. Accept the decision of the Match Official without protest.
  11. Abide by the instructions of your Coach and Team officials, provided they do not contradict the spirit of this Code.
  12. Show due respect to the interests of supporters.
  13. Arrive punctually for training sessions and matches.
  14. Attend training sessions regularly.
  15. Conduct yourself properly with respect to teammates, opponents, referees, managers, coaches and spectators.
  16. Do not eat a big meal before a training session.
  17. Take good care of your sports gear (especially your soccer shoes).
  18. The selection of a player for his club’s representative team is at the sole discretion of the coach. As a rule, players who train twice weekly should be selected over those who only train once or not at all.
  19. Members of recreational teams should also be treated equally in terms of playing time. Coaches should keep a record
