Darussalam U-12 National Football team leaves for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to participate in SuperMokh Cup

The Brunei Darussalam Under 12 National Football team will leave for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Sunday 11th December 2016 to participate in the annual SuperMokh cup tournament.

The tournament in its 3rd edition was initiated by the Malaysian National Football Development Program is a cup tournament platform for Under 12ís and Under 13ís competed by 20 international teams from all around the world.

And as the name suggests, it is in tribute to Allahyarham Mokhtar Dahari, Selangorís and Malaysiaís legendary striker of the 70ís.

Renowned teams such as 2015 U-14 defending Champions Manchester City (England), Rayo Vallecano(Spain), GNK Dinamo Zagreb(Croatia) and Corinthians FC (Brazil), Paris St Germain (France) are set to lock horns with giants from the J-League and K-League such as Gamba Osaka, Kashiwa Reysol and Suwon Samsung.

The 30-man strong team is led by Awang Morni bin Zakaria, executive committee member as Team Manager and will be coached by Head Coach, Stephen Ng. Brunei Darussalam boys are placed in Group B of the U-12 category along with Malaysia Panthers, Gimpo JIJ FC from South Korea, and Saint Prima from Indonesia.

This yearís Supermokh Cup will run from 11th to 18th December 2016.

Present to bid farewell and words of encouragement is Awg Hj Madli bin Hj Md Yusof, Acting Vice President of NFABD, Awang Rosdin bin Abdul Aziz, Acting General Secretary of NFABD, Executive committee members of NFABD, and NFABD officers and staff. The doa selamat recital to bless the journey was read by Awang Bujang bin Hj Japar.

Brunei will kick off this yearís Supermokh Cup campaign on Monday, December 12th, against GIMPO JIJ FC from South Korea at the Maybank Field A, 11am.
