In the name of Allah the Most Compassionate and Merciful.
Praise be to Allah Al-Mighty, with His blessing, we are able to gather here at this NFABD Ordinary Congress this morning. Peace be upon Prophet Muhammad, his family, companions and his followers, who are truly faithful until here after.
At the outset, let me welcome the present of the Observer from AFC and AFF to this Congress, Mr. Mun Si Song, Manager of the AFC Member Association, and Lt. Gen. Dato’ Azzuddin Ahmad (Retired), General Secretary of AFF, as the Representative from AFC and AFF respectively. Welcome to Brunei Darussalam and to NFABD House.
I also wish to welcome the EXCO Members, all Delegates and Honorary Members, who are present here at this Congress. I hope, the election of the new EXCO, for the next term of 4 years, are those who are really committed and have visions to develop football in this country, at the same time, be able to bring NFABD, to a greater height and respected, in line with its status and role, as Football Governing Body. This is not only restricted to the initiatives, planning, football development programmes and effective implementation in every aspects, but also most importantly, in the aspect of good governance.
At this Congress, we are not only going to elect the new EXCO, but also has the opportunity, to listen to the Annual Reports, which consist of President’s Activities, Administration, Report from the Technical Department, as well as Finance. I hope, every shortcomings came from this reports, if any, should be addressed and improved immediately.
